Exporting your transcript — TXT, PDF, SRT explained

Updated Jun 29, 2026 · 1 min read

Download your transcript in the format that fits your workflow — plain text for editing, PDF for sharing, or SRT for adding subtitles to a video.

Open the video detail page

Navigate to your Dashboard and click on the video you want to export. The video detail page will open, showing the full transcript.

Click the Export button

In the toolbar at the top of the transcript panel, click the "Export" button (it looks like a download arrow icon). A dropdown menu will appear with the available format options.

Choose your format

Select one of the available formats:

  • TXT — Plain text file. Best for copying the transcript into a word processor, notes app, or AI prompt. No formatting, just the words.
  • PDF — Formatted document with the video title, thumbnail, and timestamps. Best for sharing with colleagues or archiving.
  • SRT — SubRip Subtitle file. Best for video editors who want to burn captions into a video or upload subtitles to YouTube/Vimeo.
  • ZIP — A bundle of multiple transcripts (and/or formats) packaged into a single archive. Best when you want to download a whole folder of transcripts at once rather than one file at a time.

Download your file

After selecting a format, your browser will download the file automatically. The filename will be based on the video title. For PDF exports, the download may take a second or two to generate.
